Area of Interest
My interests include difficulties related to
adjustment, trauma, bereavement,
interpersonal difficulty, mood disorders,
somatic symptoms and related disorders.
My Approach
I realise that starting a therapy process can often feel quite daunting.
As is often the case with things that are new and unknown to us.
Therefore, I believe in creating a safe space, authentic connection,
and endeavour using a collaborative approach when working toward client therapy goals.
The first step in my process includes a clinical assessment during our
initial consultation. This allows me an opportunity to develop an understanding of your current difficulty, identify your needs as well as establish how I can best assist.
If I am not able to assist or meet your specific needs, I will assist in
referring you to an appropriate colleague.
After the initial assessment I obtain relevant history (this helps me to understand my clients holistically) and conclude the assessment process with a feedback session to establish therapy goals and appropriate
case management.
